On Giving Tuesday, 2022, Penny Forward kicked off a campaign to raise $5,624 to purchase an embosser to produce Braille materials for our conference exhibits and in-person workshops. Today I’m excited to announce that we’ve succeeded in reaching our goal.

Thanks to an anonymous donor, we’ve received a gently used Braille embosser capable of producing double-sided Braille at 140 characters per minute. This vital piece of office equipment will allow us to produce Braille at a fraction of the cost required to outsource our Braille production to outside vendors.

I’d like to thank all of you who donated to reach this goal. Your donations will be used to purchase Braille paper and other office supplies we need to provide accessible materials wherever we appear in person in 2023.
