Help Us Craft Our Three-Year Strategy to Best Serve You

Dates, Times, and Location

The collaborative sessions are designed to give you ample opportunity to give your input and to directly influence our next strategic plan. All meetings are conducted via Zoom and using Google Documents, to help accessibly share information and give you direct and meaningful participation every step of the way. See page 2 and 3 for more details on each meeting.

Session 1: September 13, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM CT—Build a common framework of data gathered and possibilities; provide direct feedback on overall strategic framework.

Session 2: September 20, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM CT —Gain consensus on the strategic framework; brainstorm actions that relate to goals, and prioritize actions to attain goals.

Session 3: September 27, 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM CT —Unveil the work produced at the summit and start the work of implementation action teams; learn how you have transformed the community.

Our goal is to best use your time and give you direct opportunities to share your wisdom. Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions possible; we will accommodate your needs and availability along the way.

 The purpose of this three-meeting Series is to:

Review data gathered by the board;

Celebrate successes of Penny Forward thus far;

Gain consensus on the future of Penny Forward, including mission, vision, goals, tactical plans, and other strategic priorities; and,

Create an opportunity for Penny Forward members to plug into and own Penny Forward Strategy.

 

 Summary Agenda (All Times central)

The summary agenda provides an overview of the three-meeting summit, specifically identifying each activity and capturing the purpose we’ll achieve through the collaborative dialog.

 

Session 1: September 13, 6:30 to 8:00 PM CT—Build a common framework of data gathered and possibilities; provide direct feedback on overall strategic framework.

6:30: Welcome, agenda review, how did we get to today?

6:40: Telling Our Stories—Interactive activity to build commonality around our desires for Penny Forward’s future; to increase our understanding of opportunities in our work. (includes 2 breakouts and reporting back)

7:30: Opportunities and Initiatives—What We’ve Learned and Our Draft Strategic Framework (Brief Presentation)

7:38: Enriching the Strategy—to provide a direct opportunity to brainstorm feedback on the strategic framework.

7:50: Reporting out, next steps, voting, checking out, and evaluation

8:00: Adjourn

 

Session 2: September 20, 6:30 to 8:00 PM CT —Gain consensus on the strategic framework; brainstorm actions that relate to goals, and prioritize actions to attain goals.

6:30: Welcome, overview, recap of session 1, and agenda review

6:35: Gaining alignment—to report back on the feedback; to gain consensus around the Penny Forward three-year Strategic Framework.

6:55: System-wide Action Planning—to identify what success looks like for each goal and to brainstorm the needed actions to achieve success.

7:40: Prioritizing Action—to report out the brainstormed action; to provide a direct opportunity for participants to vote to prioritize the best actions to achieve the strategic framework.

8:00: Adjourn

 

Session 3: September 27, 6:30 to 8:00 PM CT —Let’s celebrate: Unveil the work produced at the summit and start the work of implementation action teams; learn how you have transformed the community.

6:30: Welcome, Review of the past two sessions, agenda review

6:35: The Penny Forward Strategy—to present the strategic framework and action plans produced from the summit; to gain any additional burning feedback on the final product from participants.

7:00: Sustaining action—to create strategic action teams that will help us move our work forward; to better understand the structure and resources we need to succeed.

7:30: Wrapping up, evaluation, checking out, and next steps

8:00: Adjourn and Celebrate
