This course teaches the basics of investing in a simple, step-by-step way. You’ll learn how money grows over time, the different ways to invest (like stocks, bonds, and real estate), and how to avoid common mistakes like rushing into bad deals or following the crowd. The course also explains how financial markets work and why it’s important to have a plan instead of just hoping to get rich fast.

You’ll discover different types of investment accounts (like retirement or education savings) and how to pick the right one for your goals. The course covers how to spread out your money to stay safe and how fees and taxes can affect your investments. There’s also special advice for blind investors, including accessible tools and how to work with financial advisors.

Finally, the course explains how investing might affect government benefits (like SSI or Medicaid) and ways to save money without losing important support. By the end, you’ll understand how to make smart, long-term investment choices that fit your needs.

This course is split up into 8 Sections. There are a total of 22 lessons. Each lesson has a quiz. At the beginning of the course, there is a pre-test to assess what you currently know about investing. At the end of the course, there is a post-test to show you what you’ve learned. Upon passing the course, you will earn a certificate and have access to all the resources we provided in the course.
