Millions More Eligible for ABLE Accounts in 2026: Upcoming Webinar
Note: This webinar is hosted by the ABLE National Resource Center (ABLE NRC), not by Penny Forward.
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 2–3 pm ET, the ABLE National Resource Center will host a webinar explaining the ABLE Age Adjustment Act and what it means for millions of people with disabilities.
What’s Changing in 2026
Beginning in January 2026, eligibility to open an ABLE account will expand to include individuals whose disability began before age 46 (up from the current age limit of 26). This change will dramatically increase access to ABLE accounts for:
- Veterans with disabilities
 - Individuals with disabilities that began later in life
 - Millions of others who were previously ineligible

What to Expect in the Webinar
The session will be facilitated by ABLE NRC Director Jody Ellis and feature:
- Teresa Price, parent of an ABLE account owner
 - Ty Smith, ABLE account owner
 - Mark Raymond, Jr., National Outreach Lead, ABLE Today

The conversation will include:
- How current ABLE account owners use their accounts for both short-term needs and long-term goals
 - Insights from someone who will become eligible in 2026 on how they are preparing to open an account

Accessibility and Accommodations
- ASL interpretation and captioning will be provided.
 - To request additional accommodations, email Cheyenne Rivers at crivers@ndi-inc.org.
