Dear Penny Forward community,

I trust this message finds you well and inspired. As the founder and CEO of Penny Forward, I’m inspired by your enthusiasm and excited to introduce an incredible opportunity for you to actively take part in our mission and embody our vision through our newly formed Action Teams.

Our mission at Penny Forward is clear: “Through education, mentoring, and mutual support, we help each other learn to confidently navigate the complicated landscape of personal finance.”

We envision a world where blind people are financially secure, have the financial capability to confidently weather hard times, take advantage of life-changing opportunities, and more powerfully impact causes they care deeply about.

Following our successful Community Engagement Summit in September, which brought together people from the blind community who share our vision, we unveiled our Strategic Plan on October 18th. Now, we are eager to translate this vision into action, and we invite you to join our specialized Action Teams. These teams will be instrumental in turning our vision into a tangible, life-changing reality.

Our three Action Teams are:

1. Content Team: Craft educational content in line with our mission, making personal finance more accessible to everyone.
2. Communications Team: Amplify our vision by enhancing outreach and community engagement efforts, fostering equity and inclusivity.
3. Operations Team: Streamline our organization for innovation and efficiency, allowing us to better serve our community’s diverse needs.

Your participation in these Action Teams is essential in bringing our strategy to life. Whether you can volunteer a little or a lot, your unique skills, perspectives, and passion can make a real impact.
